It wasn't until I watched over half the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" that I suddenly got reminded of all the emails regarding the Climate Change Bill I'd been receiving from Greenpeace(which I'm a member of) lately. I dint even think once before "archiving" them. Last month I was called up and invited to join them in a protest against the expansion of the Heathrow airport, but I couldn't afford to go to London. I hadn't the time to. This time it was about writing to the local MP ON this particular day, June 5 Environmental Day, about signing the EDM736 which would make the 2050 target 80% instead of 60% emission reduction. I hurriedly checked and luckily found that my MP was on the list of MPs who'd already signed it.

Ive always been conscious of the environmental issues, and done my best in protecting it. I even contemplated taking it as career, but Lancaster didnot contemplate giving me an admission. Saying "No, Thank you" to plastic bags after petty shopping at Tesco isn't quite enough to save the environment. Now that I'm closer and have easy access to Greenpeace's activities and campaigns, I take resolution to take part as much as possible. And also to read more books on climate change, do more of my part to avoid it, and encourage even more people to do so.

PS: I'm just being selfish, while trying to save the green planet. Its hard to imagine my grand children or great grand children sustaining another ice-age. Or being fossilized by it.
